I want to make sure I am right for my school project as I am not knowledgable on this topic. Am I right that they do not use ceramic blades in steam power plant applications as the blades are too brittle to withstand shock? Also am I right that nickle-based superalloys like Haynes 230 and 282, and Inconel 718 and 740 may be used for steam turbine blades in power applications? If anyone knows any information on this topic please feel free to share additional info....thanks a lot.
