Remastered sneakers typically tend to re-create the past, aiming to get as close to nostalgia, material usage and tonal likeness as possible. adidas, well, they’re pursuing this whole “remastered” thing a little different. In lieu of making a shoe as close to its original iteration as possible, the brand is refining their silhouettes with modern updates.The adidas zx 700, for starters, is now a mid-cut shoe. What follows are even more transformations that render the shoe unrecognizable to the untrained eye. Three Stripes branding is no longer noted at the paneling while a more scaled down midsole is replaced with a rigged bottom.

The adidas tech super 2.0 integrated new technology into the classic early 90s running style not too long ago, but after a couple of vibrant releases and a re-commitment to the ZX running line, the sneaker has taken a bit of a back seat to other Three Stripes releases. That hasn’t stopped the silhouette from releasing in some coveted colorways though, as this subtle chalk suede pair brings a casual tonal aesthetic to the table.

After dropping a brown- and hemp-colored, camouflage-covered take on the adidas originals zx flux, adidas Originals is back with a Vintage White/Clear Grey version of the kicks. Like the aforementioned brown colorway, the design comes decked out in a woven one-piece upper as camo extends from the knit upper to the midsole. Finished with light grey hits to the molded heel counter, three stripes branding, eyelets, and laces and built atop an icy rubber outsole.



With a lowtop silhouette that’s a bit ‘taller’ (particularly at the toe) than the first edition, the adidas campus ii offers a middle ground between the 80s edition and the iconic Superstar shelltoe. This latest release opts for a high-contrast two-tone palette that’s been quite popular of late, as the Campus 2 uses a buttery smooth black leather upper as the base for Vivid Yellow accents.
